Brighton based Bacalao have developed into one of the most exciting salsa big bands in the UK today. Since their inception they have been thrilling audiences the length and breadth of the UK with their rich Cuban sound. Playing classic son, mambo, cumbia, bomba & more, much hard work has gone into creating an authentic sound, drawing inspiration from the Cuban dance bands of the 40s and 50s right up to 70's New York Salsa. The new all star line-up draws from some of the most exciting professional Latin Jazz players in the UK today, includes a full Brass section and the wonderful vocals of Diego Monsalve, Juan Preciado & Rafael Berrio.
